General Terms of Service
Version 1.2 · Last updated: August 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account or using LoopUsIn (the “Service”), you agree to these General Terms of Service (“Terms”) and to my Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Service.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Age requirement: By creating an account, you electronically confirm that you are at least 13, or the age of digital consent in your country of residence. This confirmation is required during the signup process.
If you add information about a child, loved one, or another person, you confirm that you have the authority and an appropriate reason to do so. A child profile or loved-one profile is not an independent LoopUsIn account unless that person separately creates and controls an eligible account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LoopUsIn in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Posting or sharing unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
- Attempting to break, hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service
- Using the Service in a way that interferes with other users’ enjoyment of LoopUsIn
- Failing to respect other family members and their personal data inside shared family groups
I may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.
4. Your content
You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to LoopUsIn (for example, family group names, details about children, calendar entries, Events, Lists, groceries, chores, and any other information you add). By using the Service, you grant me a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, and transmit your content only as necessary to provide LoopUsIn's features — including making it visible to authorized family-group members and to people who explicitly accept an invitation to a particular Event or List.
I will not use your content for any other purpose, nor will I claim ownership of it.
4A. Sharing Events and Lists
If cross-family sharing is available to your account, you may invite another LoopUsIn user to one Event or List without adding that person to your family group. Acceptance grants access only to that resource and never grants access to unrelated household members, calendars, chores, groceries, financials, or settings.
- You must be authorized to share the Event/List content and any information it contains about children or other people.
- Send an invitation link only to its intended recipient and revoke it promptly if it is misdirected or no longer needed.
- Participant roles control what a person may view or change. Do not try to bypass those permissions.
- Accepted participants must not misuse, republish, or disclose private Event/List information outside its intended coordination purpose.
- Removing access prevents future access but cannot recall information already viewed or independently copied.
LoopUsIn is a coordination tool. It is not an emergency, safeguarding, custody, medical, or legal-record system. Avoid placing highly sensitive child, health, school, exact-location, or legal information in a broadly shared Event or List.
5. Intellectual Property
LoopUsIn, including the app, website, design, logos, features, and all related software and content (excluding the personal content you create), is owned by me or my licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LoopUsIn for its intended purpose — managing your family’s shared tasks, calendars, and information — strictly in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the Service to build a competing product
- Remove any copyright or trademark notices
All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms remain with me.
5A. Service analytics
LoopUsIn uses privacy-preserving Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page traffic across the public website and signed-in application. The integration is limited to minimized page views: invitation routes are excluded, query strings and URL fragments are removed, and known private record identifiers are replaced before transmission. It is not used for targeted advertising or cross-site tracking, and LoopUsIn does not send family content, account identity, or invitation credentials through this integration.
The categories of information, purpose, legal basis, safeguards, provider role, retention information, and your right to object are explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions
LoopUsIn is currently free to use for all features. In the future, I may introduce optional paid subscription plans or premium features. If and when that happens, the following will apply:
- Pricing, payment methods, and billing frequency will be clearly displayed before you subscribe.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods unless required by law.
- All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe). I do not store your full payment card details.
- Any changes to pricing or subscription terms will be communicated to you in advance.
7. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by going to your profile settings and choosing to delete your account. Active account data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy. Short-lived security records and isolated provider backups may remain only for the disclosed retention periods before deletion.
I may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use policy, or the Privacy Policy
- You create risk or legal exposure for me or other users
- I decide to discontinue the Service (in which case I will try to give you reasonable notice)
Upon termination by either party, your right to use LoopUsIn will immediately cease, and I may delete all data associated with your account.
8. Disclaimer
LoopUsIn is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. I do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. I also do not warrant that the Service will meet all of your specific needs or expectations.
Your use of LoopUsIn is entirely at your own risk. Any content, data, or features you rely on are provided without any warranty. This disclaimer does not affect any mandatory legal warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) LoopUsIn. This includes any loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will my total liability to you for any claim exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (which is currently zero, as the Service is free), or (ii) €100.
These limitations do not apply to any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence in certain jurisdictions).
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Belgium (as stated in Section 1 of this document), without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of LoopUsIn will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts located in Leuven, Belgium.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence that provide additional rights or protections.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold me (and my successors, affiliates, and service providers) harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your violation of these Terms of Service or the Privacy Policy
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your content or any activity that occurs under your account
- Any disputes between you and other family members or users of the Service
This obligation will survive the termination of your account or these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
I may update these General Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in LoopUsIn, updates to applicable laws, or other improvements.
If I make any material changes (changes that meaningfully affect your rights or obligations), I will:
- Post the updated Terms in the app and on this page
- Notify you by email (if you have provided one) or through an in-app message
The new version will be effective on the date I specify at the top of the Terms (“Last updated”). Your continued use of LoopUsIn after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. I encourage you to review them periodically.
13. Contact
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback about these General Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, or LoopUsIn in general, please contact me directly at: info@loopusin.com
I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible (usually within a few days).
